All the pages in this web site are set out in a similar way and can be thought of as being in three parts. Each page is about one family. The top part sets out the people in the family. The second part provides the information that we have about the parents in the family and the third part contains the information that we have about the children in the family. To navigate the site use the buttons shown here and any of the underlined links.

If you use a lower screen resolution and if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer then you may find it helpful to tap the F11 key once.
The site requires that your browser in enabled to run JavaScript but it does not use cookies.

As you work through the pages it is worthwhile 'clicking' on the photographs and other images as there are links on many of them to larger versions. The larger versions are stored on a different 'Internet server' to that of the main web site and are not always available. If you would like access to these larger files and the server isn't running please email us at the address given.

There are a number of transcribed census documents on this site. Most of these transcriptions are our own and sometimes include interpretations rather than entirely literal transcriptions of the originals. This has been done to make the pages more readable but inevitably introduces the possibility of our own errors being incorporated. As with any transcription you should confirm the details yourself from the original.

This is a work in progress. The information provided is presented in good faith but no guarantee whatsoever as to accuracy or completeness is offered or implied. Please read these notes if you have not already done so.

We had done some work on our family history back in 1990 when our son spent some time with grandparents and wanted to know more. Recently our interest has been rekindled when I did a search on the Internet for Theodosius Coxon, my great grandfather. We were amazed to discover this page from a site run by Harry Coxon (no relation). Harry collects interesting facts about notable Coxon's, and there was Theodosius! So thank you Harry, Don, Myra, Lesley, Linda, Linda, Michael, Mike and also Brian and Lucy who have contributed in helping us find out more about our family history.

Where the month is not spelled out, dates are presented in the form of dd-mm-yyyy.
